What does Certified mean?
A certified appraiser has met all of the "accredited" requirements and has also passed the certification examination, submitted reports for review, and documented logs for appraisal hours to show experience, and documented professional development hours.
One qualified to appraise complex residences and up to 4 units of housing. Under appraiser certification law, it requires 200 hours of qualifying education, 2,500 hours of experience, encompassing at least 30 months of acceptable experience and a comprehensive examination. Requires two-year Associate Degree or 21 semester hours of college credit in specific subject matters may be substituted.
